A species-appropriate watering place for birds and insects
The rough-edged rim provides birds with a secure foothold whilst drinking and bathing. On the raised central island, even small birds and insects can find a suitable shallow area. In this way, the bird bath supports local wildlife beyond simply providing a water source.
Granicium® ceramic is particularly sturdy, frost-proof, UV-resistant and seawater-resistant. It is easy to clean and suitable for year-round use in the garden.
Reliable water supply in frosty conditions
Open water sources are particularly valuable for birds, especially in winter. Natural water sources such as puddles are often contaminated with dirt or salt. The bird bath heater prevents the water from freezing down to around -10 °C, so that birds can drink fresh, clean water even in frosty conditions. It is heated using cost-effective long-lasting candles, which have a burn time of around 55 hours.
It only needs to be switched on during the day and when it’s freezing. The cost is around 10 cents per day when used during the day. This provides you with a practical and cost-effective solution for providing birds with water, even on cold days.
