A heart symbolises love, strength and a zest for life, and this one also fills your home with your favourite fragrance. The scented heart is handcrafted in our Coburg workshop and consists of two pieces of ceramic fused together: Porosium and porous Granicium. This gives each heart its own unique grain; no two are alike.
The porcelain dish included in the set provides a stable base for the heart and protects delicate surfaces from the fragrance oil. It’s as simple as that
Place the heart in the porcelain dish and drizzle a few drops of aromatic oil, perfume or fragrance essence onto the ceramic. The porous surface absorbs the scent and releases it slowly and evenly into the room, without the need for electricity, a flame or a candle. When the scent begins to fade, simply add a few more drops. Would you like to try a new scent? After a thorough clean, the heart is ready for the next scent.
Also works as a drinking stone for insects
The heart has another talent: in the garden, it becomes a safe watering place for bees, bumblebees and other insects. Place it in a bird bath or a shallow dish so that it is partially submerged in the water. Within seconds, the ceramic soaks up the water, the surface remains damp, and the little visitors can land safely and drink without drowning.
Cleaning
The heart can be cleaned with washing-up liquid and a soft brush, or conveniently in the dishwasher. Stains and discolouration can be removed almost completely using eco-friendly oxygen bleach.
