The Denk Bread Bin made of breathable CeraNatur ceramic is ideal for storing bread, cakes and pastries. Mould formation is effectively prevented if storage periods* are correct. Fluting on the base of the container prevents breads, cakes and pastries from sitting directly on the bottom of the container and also improves air circulation.

Storage
Keep the Bread Bin in a cool place in your kitchen, pantry or cellar, out of direct sunlight.
* Storage periods for leavened bread:
Wheat bread up to 2 days
Mixed wheat bread 2 to 4 days
Rye-wheat bread 3 to 5 days
Rye bread 4 to 6 days
Wholemeal and granary bread 7 to 9 days

Special CeraNatur® ceramic
We have developed a breathable version of our ceramic for our storage containers to improve air circulation. However, this does mean that the ceramic is not waterproof. The ceramic shimmers in shades of beige-brown. Alternating darker and lighter areas may appear in the same piece and there may also be dark speckles. These individual special features emphasise that the product has been manufactured naturally, and are no reason for complaint.
Cleaning
The Bread Bin can be cleaned using water, a brush and washing-up liquid or water and a little vinegar. Leave it to air-dry for around two days. The linen cover can be washed in the washing machine at 60° C. It is not suitable for tumble-drying.
